Spain Park High School

Inspired by companies such as the New England Youth Theatre, we approach productions with the belief that students learn best by taking the lead- whether that be design, direction, and/or production - with professional guidance. Tackling a variety of theatrical styles, Spain Park Theatre seeks to foster students' love of theatre by encouraging the collaborative process, fostering creativity, and emphasizing the importance of commitment to the work.
Spain Park Theatre has enjoyed success since the the school's 2001 opening, including six consecutive years (2012-2017) winning Best in Show and numerous individual awards at Alabama's Trumbauer Theatre Festival (the state-wide theatre competition for secondary schools).  Additionally, our students have fared well with appearances at both the Atlanta and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.  ​Our original work PALS was honored with the Producer's Award at the 2016 Atlanta Fringe Festival.
